Top 5 Valentine’s Day Beauty Deals
Valentine’s Day is a week away and with that comes a flurry of deals as brands try to capitalize on this holiday. I know the concept of this day isn’t for everyone but the good news is that you don’t need to be in a relationship to take advantage of all of these promotions. When was the last time you heard someone complain about getting a deal? Based on history, however, beauty brands do not give out deep discounts during this holiday. In fact, you may be better off waiting until March when all of the Friends & Family promotions are announced. That is when brands really shell out the discounts. With that being said, there are some generous deals worth acknowledging. Here are my top 5 Valentine’s Day beauty deals worth checking out.
NOTE: I will update this list as new deals are announced.
1) Missha
You don’t need to be a user of Korean beauty (K-beauty) products to know about the brand Missha. They are one of the most popular K-beauty brands and have reached unprecedented heights beyond Korea. Their iconic Time Revolution Essence has reached over 10 million consumers while their best selling BB Cream has sold over a 100 million units worldwide.
Missha’s Canadian website advertises deals weekly and they are quite generous when it comes to running promotions. Their Valentine’s Day deal this year is one of the best that I have seen Missha do on their makeup. I have been trying a lot of K-beauty makeup over the past year and I will say that Missha’s popular Perfect Cover BB Cream is my favourite BB cream of all time. If you are a fan of this brand or have been curious about their makeup then it is the perfect time to shop.
2) Laura Mercier
I actually forgot that Laura Mercier has a bath and body line until I saw this deal. They have just over 20 skus in this line of which only a handful are available at Sephora. You can find the full lineup on the Laura Mercier Canadian website along with the offer of 25% off. Their Canadian site is still relatively new and I find the deals to be infrequent and pretty conservative. Laura Mercier rarely offers over 20% off so this 25% off Valentine’s Day deal is a bit more generous than usual. If you are curious about their bath and body line then now is the time to give it a try.
3) Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown rarely disappoints with their sales and they are frequent enough that you rarely have to pay full price. They also have the best gifts-with-purchase in the beauty world. Their Valentine’s Day deal is quite generous as you are essentially getting 50% off their iconic Crushed Oil-Infused Glosses. Based on my intel, Bobbi Brown is doing a 30% off sale on all lip products at the end of March. That is still not as lucrative as this BOGO and now is the time to stock up on this Gloss. As far as Valentine’s Day beauty deals go this is one of the most generous discounts I have seen so far.
4) The Inkey List
I usually would never celebrate 20% off but when the majority of a brand’s products are below $15 then it seems more meaningful. It is also why they are making this list of the top Valentine’s Day beauty deals. The Inkey List is already an affordable skincare brand so when they run a sitewide sale it is a nice bonus. It is also worth noting that the best discount I have seen from them is 25% off and that is during Black Friday. If you can’t wait until the end of the year then this is the second best time of the year to pick up their products.
5) Vasanti
Vasanti is one of those brands that flies beneath the radar but when you try their products you wonder why it took so long. Simply put, they have quality products that are reasonably priced. It also doesn’t hurt that they are a Canadian company and focus on using natural ingredients. When it comes to deals, I would say they do the bare minimum. That means running a promotion during major holidays when most beauty brands are doing the exact same thing. They typically don’t offer up more than 30% off which is what makes their Valentine’s day meaningful. I have also tried their lippies and feel confident giving them my endorsement. Overall, I would call this deal a win.
