PART 1: My Favourite Products – How Much Did I Save?
I have no shame in admitting that I probably use 20 beauty products a day (more if I am putting on makeup) in some capacity or another (don’t judge)! Since this blog is focused on beauty deals in Canada I thought I would create a series of posts of the products I use and how much I saved versus their retail value. You will be shocked at the total savings once you get to the bottom of the page!
Side note: I am not affiliated with any brands. I simply love these products and they work for me.
Weekly Exfoliator
I rotate between two exfoliators that I use every three days. Below is one that I love and not only because of the amazing deal I got on it. 😉
- Product: Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator
- Retail Value: $104 at Sephora
- How Much I Paid: $50 at Sephora during Black Friday
- Savings: $54 or 52% off
Night Eye Cream
In addition to serum, I firmly believe that using eye cream is a must and finding the right eye cream is a game changer. I use a different eye cream in the morning and at night and I am very particular about the brands I use. My Bobbi Brown eye cream is one of my favourite beauty products that I own and I make sure to time my purchases so I am never left without it (see the Bobbi Brown sale schedule here).
- Product: Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream
- Retail Value: $105 at bobbibrowncosmetics.ca
- How Much I Paid: $73.50 during Bobbi Brown’s Cyber Monday Sale
- Savings: $31.50 or 30% off
Night Essence
I started incorporating an essence into my morning and night skincare routine after a lot of research on these products. High level, the purpose of an essence is to nourish, rebalance, and prepare the skin for the next steps of your skincare routine allowing for deeper penetration of your skin’s barrier. I have tried a lot of essences but this one is one of my favourites and also the OG when it comes to essences.
- Product: Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence
- Retail Value: $95 at shiseido.ca
- How Much I Paid: $76 during Shiseido’s Family & Friends Sale (October)
- Savings: $19 or 20% off
Night Cream
I don’t believe in miracle creams but this product comes close. When people ask me to pick my absolute favourite product I don’t even hesitate in answering with Algenist’s Genius Sleeping Collagen. I put it on at night and wake up with skin that looks healthy, plump, and nourished. The problem is that Algenist does not have a Canadian website and nor do they ship to Canada. My go to for this product is Sephora during their biannual VIB Sale but I recently discovered it at Winners (post to come on beauty deals at Winners/Marshalls) and bought every tub they had. Check out the savings!
- Product: Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen
- Retail Value: $120 at Sephora
- How Much I Paid: $49.99 at Winners
- Savings: $70.01 or 58% off
Night Eye Serum
I discovered Elemis, a British luxury skincare brand, earlier this year and after a lot of research and trying multiple products I am hooked! There are some retailers in Canada that sell this brand (i.e. Nordstrom) but nothing beats Amazon for buying Elemis products (check out my post on Amazon beauty deals here). The product is always marked down and don’t worry, I have verified that it is from an authorized Elemis retailer.
- Product: Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment
- Retail Value: $89 at Nordstrom
- How Much I Paid: $56.40 at Amazon
- Savings: $32.60 or 37% off
