2022 National Lipstick Day Deals

One of my favourite days of the year is quickly approaching – National Lipstick Day! This day falls on July 29th and beauty brands make sure to celebrate with some generous lippie deals. National Lipstick Day first started in 2006 and it is said to be created by Huda Kattan, founder of Huda Beauty. The objective of this day is to celebrate all kinds, colours, and brands of lipstick and to encourage everyone to proudly wear their favourite shade. It is also a day that comes with deep discounts, freebies, and exclusive offers. There is literally no better time of the year to fulfill your lipstick dreams! Here is a list of all the 2022 National Lipstick Day deals in one place and updated daily.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Last year Anastasia Beverly Hills celebrated National Lipstick Day by marking all lip products down to $13. This year they are coming to the table with a BOGO which puts the price per lipstick at roughly the same cost. The only downside is that you need to spend more and buy multiple lippies to get the deal. Given that free shipping applies after $50, this may not be the worst thing in the world and a decent offering as far as National Lipstick Day deals go.

Sephora

Sephora has announced two different sales and I can’t say that either one is overly exciting given the selection. They have a 40% off sale on select Too Faced lippies and a 50% off sale on 18 lip products from different brands. Considering how many lip products they sell, I would hardly call this sale generous.

ColourPop

I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that this is an amazing sale with hundreds of lippies marked down and many of them in the $5 range. The bad news is that although ColourPop is Canadian friendly, you still need to hit roughly $80 to get free shipping. That is a lot of lippies!

Smashbox

This is a pretty specific deal but it is worth noting that this deals saves you 27% since Smashbox’s Liquid Lipstick and Cream-to-Matte Lipstick cost $62 combined. You also get to pick any shade you like which is a bonus. Last year, Smashbox ran a $5 off deal on their lip products which wasn’t the most lucrative offering given the cost of their lippies.

Grande Cosmetics

As far as National Lipstick Day deals go, any brands that only offer a gift-with-purchase are not appealing. It is a competitive holiday and so many brands will be offering deep discounts. Grande Cosmetics frequently runs 20% off sitewide sales and I say hold out for one of those sales to pick up their products.

NYX Cosmetics

NYX is running the same lipstick deal as last year but offering a gift-with-purchase on all orders which is new. Their deal may not sound as generous as others but it is worth noting that the cost of two NYX lip products is still cheaper than most of the lipstick offerings at Sephora. NYX is known for department store quality at drugstore prices and I am all for it.

Clinique

With the exception of their iconic Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, every lip product at Clinique has been marked down to $18. The average lipstick costs around $26 so that is a savings of roughly 30%. This is consistent with most of Clinique’s sales as they generously run a 30% off sitewide sale almost monthly. Oh, and did I mention that shipping is free with no minimums? Thank you Clinique!

Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura literally just wrapped up a 30% off sitewide sale yesterday so this deal doesn’t exactly look too appealing. I have even seen them go as high as offering 35% off to members. I would probably pass on this sale and wait for their next 30%+ off deal.

Huda Beauty

A buy one, get one deal is always a winner my eyes and it is no different than getting 50% off when purchasing similar priced items. I actually took advantage of this deal last year and bought four lipsticks for the price of two. My only complaint for Canadians would be that we need to spend $70 to avoid paying shipping. I guess that means more lipstick for me!

Pat McGrath

Pat McGrath’s National Lipstick Day deal last year was such a disappointment that the only way they could go is up. 30% off is a generous offering and the brand gets brownie points for letting consumers stack their first time buyer discount of 10% on top of their sales. I probably own over 20 Pat McGrath lipsticks so clearly I am a fan!

MAC Cosmetics

I am little biased when it comes to MAC since I am obsessed with their lipstick formulas and shades. My feelings aside, you don’t have to love MAC to admit that their National Lipstick Day BOGO is one heck of a deal. I am trying to speed up writing this blog post so I can jump on their site and start shopping. The only bummer is that they used to offer free shipping with no minimum spend but that has recently changed and the minimum is now $35.

Morphe

Morphe should get an award when it comes to sales. If you check their site regularly you know that there is always some sort of promotion going on. They did not disappoint with this year’s National Lipstick Day deal. All lippies are 50% off their already affordable price. Unfortunately, shipping is only free if you spend $60 so you really need to love their lip products to take advantage of this deal.

Laura Mercier

Laura Mercier had one of the lamest National Lipstick Day deals last year. They offered a free lipstick if you spent $75 and nothing about that was exciting. This year they have stepped up their game with a 50% off promotion on one of their lipsticks. Hats off to you Laura Mercier.

Tarte Cosmetics

At first I was really excited about Tarte’s National Lipstick Day deal until I realized that the 50% off is on their Maracuja Juicy Lipsticks and not their award winning lip balm. Nonetheless, 50% off is nothing to gawk at and it may just be enticing enough to get me to try this lipstick formula.

Bobbi Brown

Although Bobbi Brown had a 50% off offer last year, it was only limited to the Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss. This year they reduced the discount to 30% off but increased the number of products included in the sale from one to four. All the products also happen to be their best-selling lip products. It may be a lower discount but I am not mad at it.

Nudestix

Well this sure is a disappointment. I was so excited to see what Nudestix would offer after their 50% off sale last year. I did not expect a gift-with-purchase only especially when they tend to be more on the generous side when it comes to deals. Looks like times are getting tough for Nudestix.
