Your 2023 Singles’ Day Beauty Deals Roundup

Back by popular demand, I have decided to post another guide to help you navigate through all the 2023 Singles’ Day beauty deals. Last year I published a blog post called Deal Or No Deal: Are These 2022 Singles’ Day Beauty Deals Worth It? and the objective was simple. Should you take advantage of these deals or wait a few more weeks for Black Friday and Cyber Monday? What holiday offers up the biggest savings by brand? November is after all the Superbowl of sales and shopping. So let’s get right into it. Here is a roundup of all the 2023 Singles’ Day beauty deals in Canada and whether they are worth your money. (This post may contain affiliate links and I may earn a small commission when you click on the links at no cost to you).

*POST WILL BE UPDATED DAILY AS NEW 2023 SINGLES’ DAY BEAUTY DEALS ARE ANNOUNCED

Armani Beauty

NOT WORTH IT. This year’s Armani Beauty deal is an exact replica of last year’s with one exception. The gift-with-purchase is valued at $230 versus a small gift of three minis last year. Regardless, my vote is to wait this one out until Black Friday. Armani Beauty does offer 25% off on Black Friday but this usually comes with a minimum spend threshold. I have noticed that this threshold is decreasing each year. It was $175 in 2021 and down to $100 in 2022. This is a lot more palatable given the price of their products and how easy it is to get there.

BABOR

WORTH IT. Although you are likely to see a 30-35% off sale for Black Friday from BABOR this deal is still pretty lucrative. You are essentially getting two sets of their famous ampoules for 50% off each. You can’t really argue with that math and this is as deep of a discount that they will ever go.

Biotherm

WORTH IT. They are not lying when they say this is their best deal of the year. Their Black Friday promotions are never this lucrative so now is the time to shop. They have gone all out for this deal. You are getting a solid discount, free shipping (no minimum spend), and a gift-with-purchase if you hit a certain spend threshold. Biotherm nailed it and other brands should take note.

Bobbi Brown

NOT WORTH IT. At first glance this may seem like a very generous deal but let’s dissect it for a moment. Firstly, there are only 17 items included in this sale. I love Bobbi Brown but nothing in this sale appeals to me. Secondly, of the 17 items only three are 40% off. The rest are mainly 25% off. I have it on very good authority that Bobbi Brown will be doing a 30% off sale for Black Friday. I plan on placing an order then and I recommend that you wait until then too.

Bumble and bumble.

NOT WORTH IT. I can’t help but laugh because this Singles’ Day deal by Bumble and bumble works out to a whopping 15% off. That is the same deal that they offer people just for signing up on their website. This is a huge disappointment especially given that Bumble and bumble is typically more generous with their promotions. Hold off for Black Friday where you are likely to get at least 25% off.

Chantecaille

NOT WORTH IT. I hate deals like this one. If you do the math you only end up saving roughly 12%. It’s a hard pass on this promotion given that Chantecaille is known to run a 25% off sitewide sale for Black Friday.

Charlotte Tilbury

NOT WORTH IT. This deal may excite some people but I just hate it. It is limited to three palettes and you can’t even mix and match them. So unless you are handing these out as gifts during the holidays or are obsessed with these palettes then this deal is overkill. I would wait for Black Friday where you can expect to see up to 40% off certain items and up to 30% off sitewide depending on how much you spend.

Clé de Peau

WORTH IT. I rarely would recommend a 15% off sale but when it comes to Clé de Peau it isn’t the worst deal in the world. They do not offer deep discounts and their 20% off sale at Black Friday usually comes with a $500 minimum spend. Mind you, it seems pretty easy to spend $500 on their site given their price points.

Clinique

NOT WORTH IT. I would feel pretty comfortable betting my life savings on the fact that Clinique will be having a 30% off sale in the upcoming weeks. They have consistently offered 30% off for Black Friday and Cyber Monday for the past few years. You can also bank on a gift-with-purchase and some other flash sales up to 50% off. In other words, this Singles’ Day 20% off sale should be a hard pass.

Fenty Beauty

WORTH IT. I want to start by noting that the prices advertised are in USD and you need to go to the actual website to see the CDN prices. That aside, when you do the math you will notice that you are saving anywhere from 40-60% off on the items included in this sale. This is a pretty decent discount if you are able to find an item in the sale that you love. Overall, I would call this deal a win.

Fresh

WORTH IT. This deal from Fresh is a step up from their Singles’ Day and Black Friday deals last year where they only offered 20% off. In fact, you needed to spend $200 to get 30% during Black Friday so clearly this is a win. If you love Fresh then I say jump all over this one. This is as good as it is going to get.

IT Cosmetics

WORTH IT. Believe it or not, this deal is way more impressive than IT Cosmetics’ Black Friday promotion last year. They offered a 25% off discount with a max of 30% off based on how much you spent. That tells me that IT Cosmetics is not lying when they say it’s the best deal of the year. If you love this brand then I say it is time to shop!

Kiehl’s

WORTH IT. This deal is almost identical to the deal that Kiehl’s ran last year for Singles’ Day. What stands out for me is that the tiered discount is even more lucrative than their Black Friday offer last year which was a straight forward 25% off. This means that if you are a Kiehl’s lover and need to restock then this is the deal for you since there is an option of 30% off. Prior to last year, Kiehl’s would offer 30% off on Cyber Monday with a similar spend threshold. Bottom line is that 30% off is the best you will get with Kiehl’s and it almost always comes with a $150-$200 spend minimum.

Lancôme

WORTH IT. Getting 25% off at Lancôme is their standard offering for Singles’ Day and Black Friday. These events are usually accompanied by a generous gift-with-purchase which Lancôme does well. Unless you are a Gold or Platinum member on their site, I would say you are safe to take the plunge with this Singles’ Day offer. You won’t find a better deal later in the year. For those that are Gold or Platinum members, Lancôme has been known to offer an additional 10% off on top of the 25% off. It may be worth holding out to see if it is repeated. My favourite thing to buy from Lancôme are their gift sets which are very well curated and priced. Gift sets are always excluded from sitewide sales but they usually have their own sale at the end of the year and the discounts go as high as 30% off!

Laura Mercier

NOT WORTH IT. The Laura Mercier Canadian site is only a few years old and for a while 20% off was as good as it was going to get. They have started to dip their toes in slightly higher discounts and offered 25% off for the first time last year during Cyber Week. Based on that history I would wait to see what Black Friday brings this year.

Marcelle

WORTH IT. I don’t have much to say on this one. 30% off is the highest that Marcelle typically discounts. The only exception is their “2 for 1” deal that they ran last year during Black Friday. That could equate to a 50% off discount depending on what you buy. Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong with both deals.

Milani

NOT WORTH IT. I am going to take a moment to rant here on a topic that I have exhausted on this blog. Milani runs some pretty generous deals throughout the year but their shipping minimum for Canadians is a bit ridiculous for a drugstore brand. You need to spend $85 to get free shipping and the “free shipping” part of this Singles’ Day deal does not apply to Canadians. As for the deal itself, I would hold off until Black Friday where Milani has been known to run a 30% off sale.

Moroccanoil

NOT WORTH IT. I am pretty sure I complain every year about Moroccanoil’s deals. They always disappoint. It would be nice if they actually had a sale as opposed to a gift-with-purchase. They seem to have no problem doing this on their U.S. website. If you love Moroccanoil then I say purchase their products from Chatters Hair Salon or Beautysense who run deals frequently. You are guaranteed to save money.

Morphe

WORTH IT. Morphe used to be known for running 40-50% off sales every month but that all came to a halt in 2023 after they filed for bankruptcy. Their sales are few and far between and the most I have seen them offer this year is 25% off. Based on this change, I say this deal is looking pretty good and worth your dollars if you are a fan of the brand.

Murad

NOT WORTH IT. At first glance I thought this was a good deal but then I did the math. If you spend exactly $50 then you would be getting 22% off which is the most I have seen from Murad. Realistically speaking, there isn’t much on their site for $50 and the discount gets diluted as you spend more. How about we just wait for Black Friday for their standard (and boring) 20% off?

NARS

NOT WORTH IT. Last year I would have said this deal was worth it because 20% off was the max discount I had seen from NARS. They surprised me with their Black Friday promotion last year where they offered up to 25-30% off based on reasonable spend thresholds. I am excited to see what they have in store this year and would wait until Black Friday. At the very minimum, I am confident this same deal will be available.

Nudestix

WORTH IT. I think I need to clear up some confusion here. If you go to the Nudestix website right now you will see a 25% off sitewide Singles’ Day deal. If you are an email subscriber, however, you would have gotten an email with the promo below. I have verified that the code works and I think this is a very generous discount that you don’t see often. My advice is to ignore their website and use the code below. I should also point out that there is a Singles’ Day gift-with-purchase if you spend $111 and a separate 15% off discount for kits which are excluded from sitewide sales.

Origins

NOT WORTH IT. I am going to cut to the chase here. I have it on very good authority that the Origins Cyber Week sale will be 30% off including a gift-with-purchase as well as some 50% off flash sales. Do I need say more?

Pat McGrath

NOT WORTH IT. The advertising for this promo is a bit misleading. The spend threshold for the 30% off is actually $135 CDN but the website and the promotional emails do not make that clear. If this were last year I may have said this deal was worth it but I have some insider information that their Black Friday deal will be even better. This includes some deep discounting on certain product categories like lipsticks and bronzers. Stay tuned…

Shiseido

NOT WORTH IT. Last year Shiseido also advertised their Singles’ Day offer as their biggest gift yet and my stance hasn’t changed on this promotion. I say wait for Black Friday. I used to complain that Shiseido was cheap with their discounts but last year they did offer 25% off sitewide which was refreshing. They also offered 30% off if you spent $200. Oh, and did I mention that they still had a gift-with-purchase?

SkinCeuticals

NOT WORTH IT. I find the SkinCeuticals Canadian website extremely frustarting. I have been monitoring them for years and they have never once had a sale. The best you can get is a gift-with-purchase which likely has products that you may not want. Thankfully, there are some fabulous Canadian online stores such as Beautysense that run sales on the SkinCeuticals brand. In fact, Beautysense ran a 15% off sale for Singles’ Day last year so I am curious to see what they do for 2023.

Tarte

WORTH IT. Make that definitely worth it. Unlike Bobbi Brown who advertises “up to 40% off” but only offers it on three items, Tarte is not messing around. This is one of the most exciting 2023 Singles’ Day beauty deals. This sale includes 36 items and many of their best selling items such as their Shape Tape and Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm. One is 50% off and the other is 55% off. I will personally be shopping this sale because we are talking about $15 lippies which is basically drugstore prices nowadays.

Vichy

NOT WORTH IT. This deal is definitely a step up from Vichy’s Singles’ Day deal last year but it still falls short of their Black Friday offering. They typically offer 25% off during Cyber Week accompanied with some pretty generous gifts-with-purchase. I say hold off for a few more weeks and get that extra 5% off.

YSL Beauty

WORTH IT. Unless you are planning a pretty big YSL Beauty haul then this deal is decent. YSL Beauty rarely offers discounts over 20% off and when they do it is usually accompanied with a significant spend minimum. Last year you needed to spend $150 to get 25% off during Black Friday. If you only want to pick up a lippie or two then I say go ahead and shop now.
