Well.ca Review
About Well.ca
Before I dive into my Well.ca review, I thought I would provide some background on the company. Well.ca (well.ca) is an online retailer that specializes in health, beauty, baby, home, and green/natural products with over 40,000 items on their site. They have won many awards and are truly a Canadian e-commerce success story. Their Beauty section is constantly growing and they focus heavily on clean beauty. The brands they offer range from what they consider Luxury (Origins, Caudalie, bareMinerals) to more indie brands (The Ordinary, Mad Hippie, Indie Lee). They even carry drugstore brands such as NYX Cosmetics, Maybelline, Revlon, and more. Some would say they have it all!
Well.ca Perks
I am a big fan of Well.ca for a number of reasons. To begin, they carry certain beauty brands that are not available anywhere else in Canada. One example is Flower Beauty which used to be available at Walmart but now can only be found at Well.ca. Another example is Kristin Ess which was only available on Well.ca for years before finally coming to Shoppers Drug Mart.
One of my favourite perks of Well.ca is that they announce new deals weekly and are always featuring different brands on sale. If your check their Sales page you will see a list of all their deals and these change every Monday. Their most lucrative sale with regards to beauty is their biannual Beauty Event where all beauty products are 20% off. Given the breadth of brands that they now carry, this sale rivals Sephora’s biannual VIB Sale. During these VIB Sales you can only get 20% off if you have Rouge status with Sephora whereas anyone can get 20% off during a Well.ca Beauty Event. Something worth considering.
My only beef in this Well.ca review is that their free shipping minimum increased in 2022 from $35 to $49. I will admit that this is still reasonable and achievable given the variety of products that they sell. You can order makeup and oatmeal all on the same shipment after all. 😉
