About Socialite Beauty
Before I dive into my Socialite Beauty review, I thought I would provide some background on the company. Socialite Beauty (socialitebeauty.ca) is an online provider of vegan, natural, certified organic, cruelty-free, non-toxic, and clean beauty products. They are 100% Canadian and based out of Vancouver, BC. They sell a wide variety of beauty brands and their packaging is 100% biodegradable. The company was launched in 2015 and their mission is to “have an impact on the beauty industry and promote healthy living while partnering with brands they love and who share the same values.”
Socialite Beauty Perks
There are things I love about Socialite Beauty and things I don’t love. Let’s start with the positive. They have an impressive list of brands that they sell including ones that are not easily accessible in Canada. Some examples include Allies of Skin, Holifrog, Pyt Beauty, and RÓEN Beauty. Another perk is that they have an “Offers” page with dozens of promotions at any given time. It is pretty easy to get a gift-with-purchase. Finally, they do offer email subscribers access to unadvertised sales and discounts exclusively for them. This makes it worth subscribing.
On to what I don’t love. There really is only one issue that prevents me from ordering more from Socialite Beauty. Their shipping minimum is too high. You need to spend $99 to get free shipping. It used to be a $75 minimum and I remember thinking that was a tall order. When it comes to shipping my expectations for Canadian companies is pretty high. I expect either free shipping or very low thresholds.
