Part 2: Best Beauty Referral Programs
If you checked out my blog post, Grab a Friend & Save: Best Beauty Referral Programs, you already know that referral programs are a great way to save money on your beauty purchases. These programs are a marketing tactic to encourage existing customers to recommend a brand to their friends through the use of referral incentives. The incentive could be a discount, reward points, or even a free gift. Here is a continuation of the best beauty referral programs that are worth your time and effort.
Kiehl’s
When I think of generous beauty brands, Kiehl’s is one that comes to mind. In addition to running frequent promotions, they have a pretty lucrative referral program. If you refer a friend and they make a purchase, you can score $20 off a $50 purchase. That is a discount of 40% off if you spend the minimum. Your friend will also reap the benefits with $10 off their purchase. Not too shabby.
Aveda
There is a lot I like about Aveda. In addition to their quality hair products, they offer free shipping on all orders, no minimums. They also have a beauty referral program where two friends can save 15% off their orders just by referring one another. It is not the biggest discount but all the perks that Aveda offers makes them a great place to shop.
Murad
Murad is the opposite of Kiehl’s and Aveda. They rarely run promotions on their site aside from the odd free shipping deal. One way to score a discount is to take advantage of their beauty referral program. If you refer a friend and they make a purchase on the Murad site, you both get $10 off a $50 purchase. Sounds pretty good to me.
Morphe
Beauty referral programs can offer incentives outside of straight discounts. In the case of Morphe, the incentive comes in the form of points. When you a refer a friend and they make a purchase, you each get 100 points which is the equivalent of $5 off. This may not seem like a lot but given the pricepoint of Morphe products, this can be a savings of over 30% off!
Consonant Skincare
The award for the best beauty referral program goes to Consonant Skincare. Refer a friend and you both get $15 off your $30+ order when your friend makes a purchase. This represents a savings of 50% and the best part is that finding products in the $30 price range is no sweat with this brand. Thank you Consonant…did I mention that they are Canadian? 😉
Saje
Similar to Aveda, Saje has a beauty referral program that equally rewards both parties with a 15% discount. Unlike Aveda, Saje rarely run promotions which makes this incentive even more meaningful. If you are a fan of their products then this program is worth considering.
Cover FX
15% off seems to be the magic number when it comes to beauty referral programs. It is not the worst discount but it certainly doesn’t make it better when it is tied to a minimum spend of $65. Kudos to Cover FX for having a referral program, but someone needs to tell them to drop the minimum. They almost have it right.
Christophe Robin
The Christophe Robin referral program definitely favours the referrer. While both parties get a $10 credit on their next order, one is tied to a $60 minimum and one isn’t. Regardless, it is meaningful discount especially for a frequently consumed product like shampoo. I’ll take it.
